5000 in dark as Siang washes away portion of 11 KV line

PASIGHAT, Aug 30: A portion (double-span) of 11 KV transmission line, 2.5-km ahead of Namsing village, was washed away on Monday night by continuous erosion of Siang River. This 11 KV line was restored and re-aligned few days ago by dismantling the earlier one. This fresh erosion will lead to dismantling and re-alignment of 1-km 11 KV line for restoration of electricity, Pasighat Electrical Division said in a press statement.
