ICC announces Arunachal Test Championship

ITANAGAR, Oct 15: Itanagar Cricket Club (ICC) on Tuesday announced to launch Arunachal Test Championship 2024-25 to offer a platform for players who have not had the opportunity to represent the state team.

ICC led by President and former Arunachal Pradesh captain Suraj Tayam, the championship would feature state’s three renowned clubs, namely Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAPs), Caden Cricket Club (CCC) and host ICC.

The tournament will consist of three matches -first match between ICC and CCC scheduled for October 16-17, followed by ICC Vs CAPs on October 19-20 and CAPs Vs CCC on October 22-23.

“We believe it’s crucial to recognize the hard work and dedication of our players who did not get chance to represent the state,” Tayam said, adding “This tournament is a testament to our commitment to fostering cricketing talent and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to showcase their skills.”

The Championship is a significant initiative that will not only provide a competitive platform for players but also contribute to the overall development of cricket.
