Tedir seeks support for survey works

ITANAGAR | Mar 01 | Urban development & housing development with IMC support conducted survey to register households in Capital Complex for Pradhan Mantri Housing scheme.
The job was undertaken by Kolkatta-based Stelalit System Ltd in February last.
UD CE-cum-director Taba Tedir, when contacted said that the central scheme is for all, specially for urban people having no permanent housing accommodation. The work has been carried out across the state mostly in urban areas as the state has 29 selected urban towns.
The beneficiaries should be urban poor and the scheme, launched in June 2016 will be benefit thousands, once implemented.
There are four components as two are not applicable to the state. The two components – support from the GoI which specifies beneficiary’s annual income should be upto Rs 3 lakh to receive subsidy amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh and the 2nd credit link for housing loan up to Rs 6 lakh subsidy with @ 6.5 % interest whose income ranges between Rs 3-6 lakh and can repay in 15 years, Tedir said.
The survey will help officers to prepare housing plan DPR for action to be sent for approval by GoAP high powered committee before sending to GoI for approval and sanction, Tedir added. He appealed to one and all to avail the facility by enrolling in the survey in their respective towns.
IMC officer C. Raju, when contacted, said admitting ongoing survey said that “we are going to provide additional forms for those left out. But more than 1,500 beneficiaries have submitted their document so far.”
