China‘s move evokes reactions
* Refrain from absurd acts: ABSU(E)
ITANAGAR | Apr 21 | Asserting that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India without any doubt, APCC president Takam Sanjay today flayed China for recent its move to give Chinese names to six places of this border state.
Ethnic indigenous tribal groups, part of British India, were integrated with India, Sanjoy said in a press release, adding some tribal leaders also took part in India’s freedom movement.
He stressed that Chinese Govt should not make political hype over HH 14th Dalai Lama’s visit as India is his home and his Govt in exile.
Our Correspondent adds from Pasighat: Hundreds of students and youths under the banner of All Bogong Students Union (E) on Friday took out a massive rally here peacefully to protest against China’s recent move to give Chinese names to six places of this border state in the back drop of visit of HH 14th Dalai Lama to this state.
The rally covering Gandhi Chowk culminated at the DC’s office where ABSU(E) president Lungkang Ering, in his address, termed repeated claims of Chinese over Arunachal Pradesh as totally illegal and baseless.
“We will never prefer China over India. We have been Indians by birth and will remain so always. Chinese should feel ashamed of claiming Arunachal as their own as they will never succeed. We will fight till our last drop of blood to counter such claims,” he added.
The union submitted a memorandum to New Delhi-based Chinese Embassy, through East Siang DC, asking to refrain from such absurd acts.
