NEW DELHI | Apr 23 | Chief Minister Pema Khandu today advocated augmenting and fast tracking rail, road, air and IT communication to bring in transformational change in development the process of Arunachal Pradesh.
While taking part in NITI Aayog governing council meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, Khandu threw light on enormous strength and potential of the state in agri and allied, tourism and hydropower sectors, which he said, if systematically harnessed would lead the state to new heights.
Stressing on connectivity, he said that poor connectivity was serving as a drag for growth and giving thrust to potential economic sectors and sought continued support from the Centre.
Pointing out that PM Modi has reinvigorated and orientation policy towards the NE that resulted in a visible change in support of the GoI to catapult state’s growth, Khandu hoped for continued support, particularly to accelerate communication network.
The meeting was attended by all chief ministers. (PRO)
