ITANAGAR | May 08 | Chief Minister Pema Khandu today appointed five parliamentary secretaries (PSs) taking the total number to 26.
The lawmakers, whom the CN administered oath of office and secrecies at Banquet Hall included Tage Taki (Ziro-Hapoli), Laisam Simai (Nampong), Tesam Pongte (Changlang North), Kaling Moyong (Pasighat West) and Tamar Murtem (Raga).
Portfolio allocated them included Moyong (disaster management), Pongte (DoTCL & trade and commerce); Simai (legal metrology & consumer affairs), Taki (food & civil supply and Murtem (animal husbandry, veterinary & dairy development).
CM and DyCM Chowna Mein congratulated them and wished that they would work with commitment for the cause of state and its people.
Chief Secretary Shakuntala D. Gamlin conducted the ceremony in presence of Mein, Deputy Speaker Tumke Bagra, ministers, PSs, MLAs, BJP state president Tapir Gao, besides senior officers. (PRO)
