ABC to host collaborative event

ITANAGAR | May 31 | With an endeavor to promote ‘adventure and responsible tourism’ in the state, Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC) in collaboration with 30° North Motorcycle Club, Royal Siang Riders 515 MC and The Gliding Piranhas is all set to host  9th edition of North East Rider’s Meet (NERM) at Pasighat during November 10- 12 next.

A formal interaction programme of the riders held here on Wednesday which, when NERM’s website www.northeastridersmeet.in was formally launched by ABC”s founding president-cum Kra-Daadi DC Pige Ligu.

Ligu, in his address, while congratulating the riders  for hosting the event, called upon them to organize the festivity in such a way that the people who come from different parts of the country turn state ambassadors.

“Organizing such big events would open a floodgate for tourism as this is an opportunity for us to showcase our hospitality, tradition and culture to the outside world. This will also serve as a platform for the locals to earn some money,” he said and called upon the organizing committee to focus to invite  riders from abroad  to make NERM a global event. The event should aim at creating a buzz among locals and tourists from outside,” he added

Emphasizing on states huge potential, particularly in dventure sports, Ligu urged the youths to be venturesome and take one adventure sports or the other to stay lively and assured all out support for the event.

ABC chief Dingwang Wangham, while giving an overview of the preparations, said that they are expecting at least 1200-1500 participants and  announced that the registrations for the event would open from June 03 next.

NERM is an annual event hosted by Royal Enfield Motorcycle riding Community from the NE India. It is not restricted to Royal Enfield Clubs (RECs) members from the NE, but open to all as solo/­individual riders and REC members.

This would be second event after hosting ERM at Mechuka in 2010.
