MVAC holds rally to demand justice for Pul

NAMSAI | Jun 09 | The Mere Vichaar Andolan Committee (MVAC) in support of its three-point demands, organized a peaceful rally here today with thousands of student and public taking part.

Holding banners, poster and shouting slogans demaning justice for former chief minister, late Kalikho Pul by initiating re-inquiry based on the FIR lodged by Pul’s three wives and  immediate stepping down of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Tourism Parliamentary secretary Passang Dorjee Sona on moral ground to ensure free and fair investigation, the rally beginning from GHS school ground culminated at middle school ground.

They also demanded PD Sona to immediately return Rs 4 crore which he allegedly took from Pul.

Late CM Pul’s son Osingso Pul, in his address, lamented that, ” I know that my father was not a coward. Infect, he was very brave and always ready to face any kind of situation. But politics ruined our family and took our beloved father,  a great leader, from us. How far are we going to tolerate corruption and injustices in our peace loving state? I  request each and every one to stand against corruption. I am not asking just for the sake of my father but for the whole Arunachal.”.

MVAC convener Kaling Tasing, demanding justice fro late Pul, said police did not register FIR of late Pul’s wife’s and did not investigate as per  60 pages mere vichaar note which was written by late Pul before his death.
