DTF chalks out IDCF strategies

AALO | Jun 29 | Meanwhile, the district task force (DTF) meeting, chaired  by EAC Liyi Bagra has decided to intensify diarrhoea control fortnight (IDCF) during July 3 to 15 in all health centres/schools/AWC with main focus on primary schools & AWC (0-5 Years) children.

ORS & zinc tablets will be provided to all Govt. health facilities and ASHAs besides set up ORS-zinc corner in GH/CHCs/PHCs to achieve the goal.

The activities would include hand washing demonstration while multi-sectoral involvement has been sought through district administration, DDSE & ICDS Dy. director for better impact. District administration would issue specific instructions to all levels, monitoring & supervision closely. NHM DPM Yomto Lollen earlier briefed on IDCF-2017. (DIPRO)

Participatory planning

The district level participatory planning process under MVMDP was conducted by RD & Panchayati Raj departments and SIRD in collaboration with district administration with

RD&PR special secretary Nyali Ete exhorting all the departments to be active partners to achieve realistic development.

On concept and process of convergent GPDP – My Village My Development Plan in Arunachal Pradesh context, he stressed on participatory planning process, like household survey, PRA and conducting gram sabhas to identify actual need and aspirations of the people  before approval.

The GPDP-MVMDP of each gram panchayat is to assimilate by district planning committee through anchal samiti for vetting the process of district vision and plan approval for implementation.

West Siang zilla parishad chairperson Yaman Bagra urged the GoAP to clearly demarcate the areas of work between PRIs and MLAs for smooth functioning. Transfer posting of line departments officers should be done in consultation with zilla parishad, she said with conviction. She sought fund transfer zilla parishad for purchase of need-based office equipment and computers for office without which the works could not be done timely and properly. She lauded PRI, SIRD and ArSRLM for successful preparation of convergent GPDP as per MVMDP guideline of Gori-III gram panchayat by conducting 5-day training of trainers at Basar last week.

ADC-cum-district Ppnchayat Development Officer, Swetika Sachan, endorsed the participatory planning process while ZPM Tumpe Ete,  deputy director-cum-SNO (RGSA) L K Kabak also spoke. Gori-III GPC Yaga Ango said that gram sabha has been empowered to finalize the plan. The ZPC, DPDO, HODs, ZPMs, ASC, ASMs and PRIs leaders took part in the meeting. (DIPRO)
