No substitute to hard work: Tuki

ITANAGAR | Jul 02 |  Congratulating toppers & others academic achievers of Nabam clan, former chief minister Nabam Tuki has advised them to work hard to embrace success as there was no substitute to it.

Addressing a function, organised by Nabam Welfare Society (NWS) to felicitate class-X, XII toppers and other achievers at Siddhartha Hall here on Saturday as chief guest, he exhorted them to devote their time in study instead of wasting energy in dirty and momentary pleasure. Discipline is key to human resource development for socio-economic uplift of any progressive society, he said and urged them to be role models of the society.

Chose liking subjects for study so also liking profession for greater success, Tuki said before giving away citation and scholarship to them.

NWS general secretary Nabam Tagi advised the awardees to maintain the value of their awards by achieving self-reliance without depending on others. Expecting and depending on others will make you lazy and in case of failure frustration would befall on you, he added.

Nabam Taran, in his presidential address, urged them to be attentive in every action along with hard work for success.

GS Nabam Nagung and Nabam Youth Association president Nabam Tuna also spoke.

The topper – Cl-X: Nabam Rilum, Nabam Kuku, Nabam Nukum (9.8 CGPA); Nabam Yaji, Nabam Biro, Nabam Taji & Nabam Nyera Hina (10 CGPA); Cl-XII (humanity) – Nabam Leemi (81.8%); Cl-XII(Sc) – Nabam Yamin (79.6%) & Nabam Meni (82.4%); achievers -Nabam Raj Hina  & Nabam Yamin (NEET).
