ITANAGAR | Jul 18 | The East Kameng Social Welfare & Cultural Organization (EKSWCO), in a two-point memorandum today, drew attention of state chief minister about successful celebration of first edition of Kameng River Festival (KRF) under the aegis of tourism department at Pacha Morang, Seppa, organized by EKSWCO, during January 2016.
As it had evoked appreciation from various quarters as a tourist puller, urged him to earmark Rs one crore for hosting of 2nd edition of KRF.
It also sought an alternative bridge over Kameng River as district HQs Seppa is presently connected by single steel girder bridge to serve as lifeline. It stressed the need for an alternative bridge in case of any eventualities by natural calamity. Thus, the EKSWCO had submitted such a proposal to former CM, late Kaliko Pul for an alternative bridge at 3-km from Seppa town along Seppa-Chayang Tajo road when he had visited in May 2015 and agreed in principle.
