30 solar street lights inaugurated

ITANAGAR | Aug 23 | Capital DC Prince Dhawan today inaugurated 30 solar street lights giving respite to residents of Chimpu-I and Bath-Ganga villages from darkness.

The district administration had proposed installation of solar street light in the area, he exhorted the locals to take care of the property and told them that 20 more street lights would be installed soon.

Reiterating his commitment to ensure safety and security of women, he hoped these solar lights would help reduce crime rates, road accidents while contributing to overall development of the area as CCTV would also be installed in the light posts. He lauded APEDA for timely completion of the project.

APEDA director Marki Loya, who appreciated DC for conceiving the idea,  handed over 50 LED bulbs to Ganga HS School principal.

Batt-Ganga ZPM Techi Meche and ASM chairperson Teli Yamang earlier lauded efforts of DA and APEDA and hoped that the DA would help bring all rural areas under development radar. (DIPRO)
