Panye’s death mourned

ITANAGAR | Sept 11 | Koloriang lawmaker Pani Taram deeply mourned untimely demise of his cousin brother Panye Nachang,  who breathed his last at Guwahati Medical College on Monday afternoon after brief illness.

“It is huge loss to the area as he was a very active social worker. His death will create a void in Kurung Kumey district’s social strata,” Taram said while with the mortal remains at Nirjuli late this evening.

Panye, 40, s/o Pani Taro, is survived by two wives, three sons and a daughter, Taram said, adding his last rites will be conducted tomorrow.

Terming him as a man working for all round development & welfare of the people, Kurung Kumey ZPC Sangha Tagik, members of Panya Welfare Society, APCC and IMC also joined the mourners and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

The APCC, in a release, described him as a dynamic and dedicated leader of Nyapin assembly constituency of the district, his valuable contributions at grassroots level would be remembered. He was younger brother of Kurung Kumey DCC president  Paney Talik, the APCC said and joined the mourners.

Itanagar Municipal Council members and officials also joined the mourners for untimely passing away of Paney, ward member of Nirjuli ward 29.
