SUMAA holds protest march, demands TRP- 2014 rollback

 

ITANAGAR | Oct 10 | Students United Movement of All Arunachal (SUMAA) today held march to protest against the GoAP mopve to adopt Tibetan Rehabilitation policy (TRP).

Hundreds of students from various schools and college led by SUMAA executive members holding placard and  shouting slogans marched through  main thoroughfare here from Akashdeep near Ganga Market to Nyokum Lapng ground in O point Tinali.

Shouting slogans ‘we demand complete rollback of TRP’, ‘Tibetans go back’, ‘we don’t want more refugee in Arunachal’, ‘Pema Khandu hai hai’, ‘atyachar nahi chelega’, ‘Tibetian bapas jao’ and so on, the SUMMA rally registered protest.

While talking to reporters, SUMAA president Tagru Tami said that since declaration of TRP policy we have been submitting memorandum and launching democratic movement for immediate rollback of the decision, but our genuine demand is yet to be honoured.

‘our movement will continue till the issue is resolved. We will not allow any facility of indigenous people to refugees. When our own Indian brothers are not given such facilities, why thes GoAP is eager to providt to refugees, they asked?

Many refugees have obtained documentary evidence which needs to be checked and administration needs to take action. There are illegal migrants, they said, adding  the GoAP called us for a talk on Sunday. “will not stop until the TRP is rollback,  Tagru added.
