Remove all unsafe unauthorized temporary structures, directs DC

LONGDING | Nov 29 | In view of frequent fire incidents in Longding district, DC-cum-DDMA chairman Vikram Singh Malik, under Disaster Management Act 2005 power, has directed to remove all unauthorized temporary constructions, having leaf/Toku patta roofs in the district HQs here by December 31 next.

Such structures have been built across Longding town having high propensity to catch fires rapidly and therefore pose a serious threat to its occupants and neighboring houses and making all occupants unsafe, the DC said in an order.

The order should be strictly complied  as pre-emptive measures to control loss of life and property. However, after expiry of deadline,  remaining unauthorised structures shall be removed by land management section of  district administration.
