AAPSU assails Assam Govt for eviction drive in Dollungmukh, flays GoAP silence

 

ITANAGAR | Dec 08 | All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) in strongest term today condemned eviction drive and atrocities carried out by Assam Govt in Dollungmukh under Kamle district.

The Assam Govt forcefully entered Arunachal Pradesh territory and dismantled the tourist lodge, the AAPSU claimed in a release, adding such situation in inter-state boundary areas cause disturbances for the people and disturb prevailing peace.

When the boundary dispute is in the Supreme Court, such unmindful attitude of Assam Govt is provocative and hurting sentiments of state people, AAPSU general secretary Tobom Dai said.

Condemning dormant attitude of  the GoAP in dealing with its counterpart resorting to such atrocities again and again, the AAPSU claimed that inhuman activities of  Assam Govt was reported a month ago. But, the GoAP has failed to protect and safeguard the territorial integrity and sentiments of state’s indigenous people.

An AAPSU team led by its vice president (administration) Meje Taku will visit the spot to collect first hand information, the release added.
