ITANAGAR | Dec 20 | Film Tubelight, with kid Matin Rey Tangu in lead role, along with super star Salman Khan that had put his native state Arunachal Pradesh in limelight through Bollywood, has been awarded ‘Best Actor Male Debutant’ by Zee Cine Awards on Tuesday night during a award ceremony in Mumbai.
Matin, son of Anupam Tangu, prsent OSD to DyCM, however could not receive the award personally due to his pre-occupations in his home town Pasighat. The ceremony will be telecast by Zee TV on December 30next.
Matin was also nominated for ‘Best Child Actor’ for his role by Star Screen Awards recently in Mumbai which he had attended. The Star Screen Awards Show will be telecast by Star TV on December 31.
However, on being conferred with such prestigious, Matin, while talking to this daily, thanked Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company and director Kabir Khan for casting him. He lauded Salman Khan Films and Salman for giving him this opportunity and all his well wishers, particularly from Arunachal for their support and encouragement. Responding to – What next?- the kid star quipped: “Golden chance hardly comes but given the opportunity I shall not miss”.
