AYVS to hold mega camp in RKMH to meet blood crisis

ITANAGAR | Dec 26 | Even after conduct of an emergency donation camp on December 20 last that yielded 24 units of blood, RK Mission Hospital and Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science continues to face blood crisis to conduct serious operations.

Even before the New Year there has been continuous flow of patients for the last one week who need blood in both hospitals for which AVYS volunteer are busy in arranging blood. It may be recalled that out of 37 accidents patients during 2016 New Year. However, four had breathed their last for inability to arrange blood in dead night, recalled AYVS chairman Ramesh Jeke.

Thus, to ensure none dies for want of blood  this year, AYVS or Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donor Organisation (AVBDO), affiliated to  Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisation, in a meeting chaired by its chief adviser Pradeep Kumar and attended by its members led by Jeke today decided to conduct a mega voluntary donation camp in RKM Hospital here at 9 am on December 29 next.

This would be 70th camp of AVYS and 1,87,400 units blood were collected in 69th camp so far.
