ITANAGAR | Jan 05 | Governor Brig (Retd) B D Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu today greeted Arunachal Pradesh, particularly Tagin community on Si-Donyi festival.
This festival deep rooted in our cultural ethos plays a significant role in defining strong bond between the nature and the people. With its religious, cultural and emotional importance blended with unique customs and traditions, it is the most important festival of the tribe and cherished by one and all, Dr Mishra said in his message.
“Ours is a distinct state with several tribes and communities living side by side since ages while maintaining their own unique indigenous cultures and traditions. We as Arunachalees despite diversity are united and take pride in our indigenous cultural mosaic, which should be maintained, preserved and propagated at all costs while keeping intact our unity in diversity. I believe the celebration would prove a major catalyst towards achieving this goal,” Khandu said in his message and joined the governor to pray for bummer harvest, peace, communal harmony, prosperity, happiness, good health and for one and all.
