*AVYS camp yields 42 blood units

ITANAGAR | Apr 21 | All India Mohila Congress Committee (AIMC) general secretary today motivated the youth to work for the cause of health and humanity.
While addressing NIT & RGU students of during a blood donation camp, organised by Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donors Organisation (AVBDO), a unit of Arunachal Vivekananda Yuva Shakti (AVYS), in RKM Hospital here, she said that works for the common good of the society could be possible only with determination.
In all 42 units of blood were collected in the camp.
However, Ete, incharge of Assam & Sikkim, exhorted them to get educated first for a secured career. However, she advised them to serve their families first to make them happy to join the humanitarian mission.
In his thought provoking address, AVYS chairman Ramesh Jeke inspired the gathering to feel part of the society and serve the suffering masses as ser ice to god. In all 42 cancer patients are being given Chemo therapy at the initiative of AVYS, who are in urgent need of help including blood, he said adding several accident cases equally need help.
Thus, he advised all to make themselves physically fit and mentally strong to remain active in personal profession while working for society. He cited his personal example of serving the society for last one decade.
The camp is a collaborative effort of AVYS with Junior Red Cross Society (JRCS) and State Blood transfusion Council (SBTC).
