Overjoyed with their success, APCC president Takam Sanjoy, in a release, congratulated them, saying their achievements, a sign of new paradigm in achieving national feat, have made the state proud. They have become role models to inspire their compatriots to face this exam with competitive spirit. He wished them good luck in their future endeavours.
“Its very sad that many NE states drew blank in the UPSC Exams due to their non serious nature in studies though most of them study in prestigious institutions like DU & JNU etc, but indulge too much in short-lived illusion like beauty contest, singing and dance competitions, but no winner so far got a in Bollywood,” IGP Robin Hibu said in his reaction.
He attributed lack of ‘catch them young strategy’ for such toughest competition, wrong perception of success, neglecting sports, music, entrepreneurship, journalism, law, arts, writing, adventure sports, lack of career guidance in school & colleges, toeing wrong role models and obsession for white colour jobs to such failure.
