48 community toilets in a month: DC

*Ward 11 gets one

ITANAGAR | May 15 | The 1st phase of ongoing community toilets building is expected to be over in a month to build 48 ones in Itanagar, Naharlagun and Banderdewa, Capital Complex DC Prince Dhawan today said after inaugurating community toilets of Ward 11 here today.

He asked Dwne Set Ajin SHG for proper maintenance and upkeep after handing over them to the SHG. Pointing out that the toilets have been built for public convenience, he urged them to use the facility by ensuring its proper maintenance. He hoped that these would go a long in facilitating public and tourists.

Notably, five community toilets at various locations of Ward 8 wereen made operational earlier. A community toilet includes two separate units, one each for males and females with nominal user charges to be collected by the SHG.
