NAHARLAGUN | May 20| Expressing dismay over the functioning of present state Govt led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, People’s Party of Arunachal president Kahfa Bengia said the party stood behind him without anticipating that his Govt would put the state on a pendulum.
The decision to delay elections to PRI would not only defeat the very purpose of grassroots level body for the socio-economic development but violate the spirit of 73rd amendment of the Constitution of India, Bengia talking to told this daily today.
He wondered that the CM’s very claim that central fund would flow after joining the BJP has been proved cent percent wrong as employees of few departments have not been paid salaries for last few months. Moreover, the employees led by CoSSAP have been demanding implementation of 7th central Pay Commission recommendations, which still has remained a distant dream, he pointed out and questioned: Is this the proof of fund flow and strength of the Saffron brigade?
