Chakma students violated rules for NERIST admission: AAPSU

ITANAGAR | May 30 | The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU)  demand for cancellation of admission  of Mizoram Chakma students in  NERIST is not without reasons as the candidates have duped their state Govt as amply reflected in a letter address to NERIST registrar by undersecretary on May 22 last.

Enclosing a copy of the letter, AAPSU, in a release, said that the candidates have violated  Selection of Candidates for Higher Technical Courses  rules,  2016 of the state Govt. having category-I, category II and category III. Chakma students were allotted many seats under Mizoram quota and NEE-1 Examination Board results under  category-II while they had applied in category- I, the release said.

While strongly condemning press statement of Chakma Students’ Organisation of Tripura, AAPSU warned that they would be held responsible if any untoward incident happen to any Arunachalee student.
