ITANAGAR, June 01: Around 600 beneficiaries Joram-Koloriang stretch of Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) under Pistana & Deed circle, constituting 80%, were given compensation by Lower Subansiri district which they have accepted whole heartedly, Land Affected People’s Forum (LAPF) said in a release today.
However, reacting to opposition by some group, the LAPF termed it baseless, political motivated and anti-development by creating social disturbance for peaceful land acquisition process. While urging the GoAP not to be affected by such claims, it requested to immediately release of payment to other beneficiaries and hand over the land to NHIDCL to speed up TAH construction.
