38 Myanmar delegates join IAFCRA rally

ITANAGAR, July 05: The organiser of India Asean Friendship Car Rally-2018 is happy to announce the confirmation of foreign participation in the friendship car rally.

A total of 38 delegates from Myanmar and Thailand with 12 cars are expected to reach Tawang on September 10 next to join Indian team, scheduled to be flagged off on September 12 next.

Thai team is led by Rachan Trairat (in charge of Thailand Tata Motors Sports) along with businessmen from different sectors. Myanmar team will be led by Hla Maung, Border Trade Chambers of Commerce president, Yangon Union of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industries Tamu & Kalay as executive members with other traders, said International Friendship Car Rally Association (IFCRA) president Pem Sonam today.

He said that GoI youth affairs & sports secretary Rahul Bhatnagar has consent to attend the flag off ceremony besides  Doordarshan Sports Channel ADG Satyajit Mishra and additional manager Abhisek Dubey. DD Sports Channel is the media partner of this event will give live coverage.

He informed that Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in India is willing to promote tourism between India and Thailand for which a meeting was held with TAT marketing officer Shingreiso Shimrey in New Delhi the today to discuss details of the events. The TATs officials have expressed their willingness to associate with the event, Sonam added.
