Routine intensive source reduction begins

YUPIA, Aug 06: Month-long routine intensive source reduction begun today in tune with a recent daylong assessment and review meeting of all NVBDCP staff working under Papum Pare DMO.

District vector borne disease control programme officer Dr. Tana Aruna  had highlighted the entire gamut of exercise in meeting and exhorted all citizens, private and Govt educational institutions of Capital Complex to take preventive measures, like not to allow stagnation of  water in and around households, regular use of mosquito nets, applying lotions and  use repellants during the day time, wearing of long sleeves cloths, control vector (mosquito) breeding by keeping surrounding clean and hygienic. Blood test and medicines are provided free in all Govt health institutions, he added.

She also said that from District vector borne disease control programme staff are engaged   in IEC and BCC in the field for source reductions. (DIPRO)
