Tamiyo Taga on mission to turn Arunachal power hub of India

ITANAGAR, Aug 18: Toeing Prime Minister Narendra Modi public statement; Arunachal Pradesh Power Minister Tamiyo Taga is on a mission aboard to gain first hand technological knowledge to make these flowing water useful for rest of the nation.

Arunachal mein pani ki kami nehi hai. Nepal, Bhutan aur Himachal Pradesh ki tarah bijli paida kar ne se arthik bikash ko badhawa milega. Aap log apna takat pahchane. Arunachal hamara saath chaley, ham saath chalene ka wada karte hain (What Hindusthan could offer Arunachal, which could illuminate Hindusthan? Let Arunachal walk with us, I promise to reciprocate, ” was announcement of PM Modi at Itanagar on 20.02.215. 

Minister Taga leading a high level official delegation before leaving New Delhi by air for Germany told this daily over telephone that he would be on a study tour and attend a training at Frankfurt and Spain during  August 20 to 27 for capacity building on “integration of renewable energy resources into grid” for higher management bath.

When asked if his training would help Arunachal Pradesh, considered future power of India with 58,000 MW hydropower potential alone, to attain its perceived status, he quipped: There is no doubt about huge power potentials of our Himalayan state including renewable m sources. But the state is yet to tap them for lack of technologies and methods. A law maker needs to have practical knowledge for translating any policy framed into reality to benefit the state,” he said.

The team includes power commissioner too, he added.
