DC exhorts street vendors to make vocation sustainable

ROING, Aug 28: Lower Dibang Valley DC Mitali Namchoom today exhorted street vendors to take up skill training seriously to make their vocation a sustainable source of livelihood.

Namchoom, also DUDA member secretary, was addressing identified street vendors of district HQs attending day-long skill training-cum-workshop here today, conducted by DUDA under urban street vendors (SUSV) scheme before distribution certificate to the beneficiaries of various trades, namely general duty assistant, electrical & electrician and electronic & hardware.

The training was imparted by empanelled training partners, namely AISECT, Teamlease and Anuna under employment through skill training & placement (EST & P) component of DAY-NULM while SMO Dr. F. Rahman, police inspector Abraham Taying, ACLM C.S Singpho were resource persons.
