ITANAGAR, Sept 18: Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh (BMS) celebrated National Labour Day for first time at its state HQs at Nyokum Lapang here on Monday.
All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union and BMS co-convenor Tadung Yangfo, in his address, said that labour forces contribute immensely to nation building, particularly infrastructure. Any development would not be possible without the workers; he said and urged the gathering to dedicate their services for the cause of the state with a renewed zeal.
BMS aims at proper use of manpower and resources for achieving maximum output without any profit motive to boost socio-economic development but adhere to dignity of labour, he emphatically said.
The day long programme included interactive session among seven constituent organization members for coordination among each other, sharing ideas to avoid misunderstanding and march forward smoothly which coincided with celebration of Vishakarama Puja.
AAPEWU president Ringu Chapo, AAPWU women wing GS Tembi Geyi Lendo, among other addressed the gathering, including representative of All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union, All Arunachal Pradesh Aganwadi Workers & Helper Union, All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation, All Arunachal Pradesh Motor Transport workers Union, All Arunachal Pradesh Public Health Engineering & Water Supply Department Workers Union and All Arunachal Pradesh electrical workers union etc.
