Shito-Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do Champ ends

KHONSA, Sept 23: Games and sports strengthen physical and mental health of the players besides their capacity to concentrate, boost team spirit and self confidence, said Khonsa East MLA-cum-APEDA chairman Wanglam Sawin.

He was addressing the valedictory function of two-day 7th state level Shito-Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do Championship-2018 at Town Club here on Sunday. He also gave away prizes to the winners.

The event, organized by All Tirap Dist Shito Ryu Karate-Do Association under the aegis of Arunachal Shito-Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do Association, saw participation of more than 300 male and female martial art players, technical staff and officials from 23 districts, including SLSA.

Youth should take part in all sports competitions regularly to exhibits their talent, said 16 AR Col. Robin Singh as guest of honour.

Juli Itanagar team emerged overall champion followed by HQ Itanagar while Changlang Team became best discipline team.

The players had all praises for the organizers including sports department authorities, saying the event would help boost their skills.
