ITANAGAR, Sept 24: Waii International Sports Complex (WISC) , the first of such sports infrastructure in the  heart of the state capital here, is in offing to hone up talents of the state’s promising sports persons to win more national and international laurels.

The man behind the ambitious project, Home Minister-cum-entrepreneur Kumar Waii is committed to develop it as first as possible. While inspecting the ongoing civil works on Monday (in picture), he directed the civil engineers to speed up the works but without compromising wit quality.

The WISC will offer training and hostel facilities to the students under guidance of the noted players in the field.

It may be mentioned here that Arunachal Pradesh boasts of producing international shutter Laa Talar and his sister Laa Yakum, only shuttlers of NE India to represent India in international events, a conclusive of hidden talents who need to the mantra of ‘tap them young’ by touring rural areas to identify them. Hopefully, the WISC would adopt such a policy to not only benefit the state but the nation as a whole.
