2,401 to benefit under PMAY in Capital Complex

ITANAGAR, Oct 01: Capital Complex DC Prince Dhawan visited beneficiaries of PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) Urban who were paid Rs 1,50000 to construct houses.
Total 2,401 beneficiaries under PMAY have been identified in Capital Complex of whom nine were paid through direct benefit transfer (DBT) on Monday.
The DC, accompanied by EAC Hengo Basar, who visited homes of beneficiaries to ensure that their houses were complete, interacted with house owners and enquired about their well being.
Itanagar sub-division-I has total 265 and sub-division-II 202 beneficiaries; Naharlagun sub-division-I has 909 and sub-division-II 649 beneficiaries, the DC said, adding all beneficiaries would be given the fund on receipt of completion reports. However, this would facilitate urban poor to get own affordable houses.
The PMAY, an initiative of GoI aimed at oroviding affordable housing to urban poor with a target of building 20 million affordable houses by 31.032022. (DIPRO)
