CM inaugurates 29 projects

DIRANG, Nov 23: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a slew of projects here on Friday in to give a new thrust to development process of Dirang constituency.

Khandu, in his address, said inauguration of 29 projects is a sign of progress and appreciated impressive teamwork by public leaders and GoAP officers. He said that the GoAP lauds the quality work and spirit of ‘Team Arunachal’ but will not tolerate corruption in any form.

Arunachal has walked enough in wrong path and the present ‘Team Arunachal’ Govt is determined to set the course right, he said, adding Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ launched by the GoAP is having positive effect on GoAP officers. They have expressed happiness that they are able to serve people in a better way to derive job satisfaction.

The GoAP is giving big push to development of all sectors, particularly in tourism. But, only focus is now to have good policies and film and tourism policies are being drafted now while private sectors are investing in unprecedented scale in tourism sector.

The CM inaugurated RCC hostel building for boys & girls of GHS school, improvement of 12-km Sangti-Khasso road, steel truss bridge over Shashirong River, Govt Polytechnic, Thembang Govt middle school RCC building , 20-km BRTF road to Broksarthang via Lubrang (stage 4), 13-km Namsu to Cher road (stage 1), 4.73-km Dirang village-Morshing road to Showda (stage 2), Thembang PHC and RCC storm water drainage system at Nadipahar area here.

He also inaugurated working and unemployed women hostel, improvement of township road network, EWS housing project under RAY, residential schools at Mandala Phudung, Rama camp & Thembang and vendor market. He the foundation stone of power EE office, transmission divison-I, Dirang water supply augmentation, providing water supply at Chug, Namsher, Nishithang, Barchu and Donglok including construction of 33kv express line from Dirang to Jang.

Union MoS (Home) Kiren Rijiju inaugurated upgradation of Rama camp Govt middle school, secondary school (model school), improvement of road from 9 mile point of Bomdila-Tawang road to Salari-Nafra road (phase 1) and upgradation of Dirang Govt middle school to secondary school, laid foundation stone for tourist lodges at Sangti and Khasso, CHC building (Block-B), PHE and WS division office building, providing water supply to old Dirang and renovation, modernization and improvement of T&D system i/c sub-station of Bhalukpong, Kalaktang, Dirang and their adjacent areas.

State BJP president TapirGao, advisor to CM Japu Deru, MLAs Kumsi Sidisow, Mama Natung and MLA Phurpa Tsering (Dirang) also spoke.

The CM later visited Thembang fortified village, declared by UNESCO as world heritage centre. (PRO)
