ITANAGAR, Dec 02: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, in a meeting here on Sunday, expressed dissatisfaction over the work progress of NH-415 and asked M/s T K Engineering Consortium (TKE) to expedite works.
He had called a hurriedly meeting of PWD (highway) CE T Basar, EE Nani Tath and TKE representatives taking cognizance of no visible construction activities of on-going four-lanning of Itanagar to Banderdewa (NH- 415) during last few days.
“We have waited enough during long rainy seasons. It is high time that Banderdewa to Pappu Nallah works should be fast-tracked because of limited working season,” he said, adding as time has entered middle of dry season, there is no time to waste. He cautioned that if no satisfactory works are visible in next few days, the PWD would be left with no option but to initiate appropriate action against the firm.
“It is painful to see NH conditions passes through the middle of Capital Complex. I can feel the pain of the commuters, especially of patients and pregnant women who have to travel through this road in emergency, he said reflecting pulse of the people. He asked the TKE to complete four-lanning of Itanagar-Pappu-Nallah (phase-I) by March 2019 as assured by them earlier. (PRO)
