984 benefit from 16th SADP

TAWANG, Dec 05: Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok after inaugurating 16th round of Sarkar Aapke Dwar Par (SADP) and Jan Sunwai  at Bomdir Govt Middle School on Wednesday,  felicitated Namet primary and Bomdir middle school toppers from and gave them science kit and microscope besides school materials to Bomdir middle school.

After inspecting stalls of 45 Govt departments, he distributed vegetable seeds to the villagers through G Namet and Bomdir GBs.

Of the villagers from Langputse, Namet, Khirmu, Wokher and nearby hamlets, 984 availed various benefits, including five marriage registration, CMAAY registration, one succession certificate, driving license, AADHAR enrolment, birth & death, ST, PRC, disability & fitness certificates, renewal of license, while textile and handloom products, LED bulbs and fan under UJJALA scheme were sold and banks accepted applications for opening PMJJY & PMJSY accounts. A team of doctors conducted routine health checkup and immunization. DIPRO

Meanwhile, Tawang field outreach bureau (FOB) unit conducted a special outreach programme on Swachhta Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) at Shyo village on Wednesday.

The event aimed at sensitizing the masses on cleanliness, eliminating manual scavenging and adopting scientific waste management system, begun after an awareness rally involving students, teachers and local villagers.

FOB Head L. Dawa and PH&WS consultant Tenzin Phenday addressed the gathering of more than 200. A photo exhibition and quiz competition were organized and winners given prizes.
