AALO, Jan 02: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), continuing its efforts to develop critical road network and infrastructure along NE India border to connect far-flung villages for socio-economic growth and smooth movement of defence forces to border areas, upgraded 45-km single lane Aalo-Kaying road to double lane.
The 92 RCC under BRO’s Project Brahmank of 44 BRTF begun work in July 2013 in West Siang district. In spite of various climatic challenges prevailed throughout the year, about 38-km stretch has been completed against various odds while remaining 7-km stretch has been targeted for 2019.
The double lane road would save travelling time by about an honour. (DIPRO)
