PASIGHAT, Jan 18: Body of a newborn girl was found at Boying village on Thursday morning living the villagers in shock. The body sent to General Hospital for conducting postmortem and the police was informed.
Boying Baane Kebang president Tobuk Dai and HGB Ote Rukbo said that the body was spotted at around 10 AM when dogs and pigs were feasting over it. “As abandoning newborn in the village has disgraced its sanctity, I reported the matter to police immediately and police took away the body. Some portion of the newborn was already eaten by dogs. We inquire but no one from our village did such inhuman act.
Meanwhile, All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union GS Tobom Dai alleged negligence of medical department in conducting postmortem on time while the incident has evoked reactions from various quarters.
