ITANAGAR, Jan 20: Arunachal Pradesh will progress if all government officers become transparent in their dealings, honest in the in their action, accountable in their approach, Governor Brig (Retd) B.D. Mishra, told West Siang HoDs during a meeting at Aalo on Sunday.
Dr Mishra, who is on a four-day district tour, said “Your conscience must satisfy you that you have done something for the people to the best of your ability” and exhorted them to set target to yield results.
Sharing details of his meeting with Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), he asked them to motivate, encourage and support the people, particularly the youth towards entrepreneurship through ‘Start ups’. Only job seeking attitude will not solve their problems. They must become job providers venturing into the realm of productivity. Expressing his concern about the farmers, he advised them to go to their area and resolve their challenges.
He reviewed GoAP flagship programmes and discussed issue of textbooks, mid-day meal and completion of syllabus, recruitments for armed forces, loans for Start Ups, electrification of villages, handloom, handicrafts, road construction and women and child welfare.
DC Swetika Sachan, SP Jummar Basar, HoDs briefed him about achievements and progress while 5 Mountain Brigade commander Brig. C. Dayalan briefed about operational preparedness of his troops and measures for welfare of civilians. (PRO)
