Dollungmukh PHC signboard destroyed by Assam Police

NAHARLAGUN, Jan 29:  Assam Police evicted, destroyed and took away a signboard of PHC (PHC) located within Dolungmukh area of Kamle district  of  Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday as alleged by local residents.

Kamle DMO in-charge Dr. Kapu Sopin informed that as per report a signboard was erected at tri-junction of Rajghar Ali road, the natural boundary to guide people who want to visit the PHC for treatment and other purposes. The signboard, erected on January 13 last about 3-km from the boundary, would not be re-erected, he said.

NN Charitable Trust (NGO) chairman Nengbia Amar Dui, offering health services, under NHM, said that the signboard was not only helpful for the people of Arunachal side but for Assam side and visitors.

Kamle SP John Pada, when contacted, said that a signboard which was erected by medical department might have been evicted. Dollungmukh PS OC has been directed to verify and submit report. There is no written complaint from public and medial deptt in this regard, he said.
