CM thanks employees for yeoman’s service to state

ITANAGAR, Feb 19: Chief Minister Pema Khandu launched execution of satellite based monitoring and geo-tagging portal for all projects executed under GoAP and laid foundation for Zen Garden for Arunachal Civil Secretariat here on Tuesday.

These were part of an interactive session he had with staff of Arunachal civil secretariat and all directorates within civil secretariat premises.

He handed over letter of appreciation including cash prizes to 99 awardees including Govt employees in recognition of their meritorious service to the GoAP.

“The interactive session aims at thanking all of your and giving due recognition to yeoman’s service rendered by you, particularly all 99 awardees,” he said.

During two-month long Arunachal Rising campaign across the state, he said he had opportunity to meet people, understand their feelings and expectations. Thus, this is a platform to elaborate on such expectations of the people to the employees, he reasoned.

Pointing out that the employees have desire to perform, he assured right kind of leadership for them to give their best. Comparing the employees with engine of the Govt, he said the Govt machinery will fail if they fail. “I will take all possible measures for employees’ welfare to keep their morale high till I am in chair”, he said. He assured to meet their demands gradually while enlisting GoAP steps, including granting TLA allowance, hiking retirement age & implementing 7th CPC recommendations.

He sought their cooperation in building a better system, but cautioned that future will face the brunt of present inactions, if not corrected today. The people, particularly youths have lots of expectations from the Govt and its employees which should be reciprocated, he said.

He congratulated finance & planning and state remote sensing department for successful execution of geo-tagging and satellite monitoring projects which would facilitate monitoring to bring transparency, better accountability, check corruption and help effective quick decision-making.

Chief Secretary Satya Gopal earlier said through this session, the CM wants to strengthen the bond among each member of Team Arunachal and encourage them to shoulder responsibilities as a perfect team to work on mission mode for greater welfare of the people. He exhorted them to work tirelessly in public interest until the goal of inclusive growth is reached.
