Organic cultivation training yields positive result

ITANAGAR, Mar 06: The proposed two-day trainers’ training on organic cultivation for local population of Dhemaji district begun at Dihiri Chapari village on Wednesday.

In all  62 villagers of nine villages are taking part in the training by Dhemaji (KVK) Krishi Vigyan Kendra experts, sponsored by NGO Ekta Parishad, its coordinator Nayan Tara told this daily adding KVK chief scientist Dr. Gunjan Gogoi and Dhemaji divisional officer conducted the training as resource persons. Other experts included   Chandra Deka Boruah (vermi compost), AEA Maneswar Chutia.

Besides Tara, Assam unit Eekta Parishad coordinator Biren Deka and office bearer Dimbeswar Nath, district coordinator Ujjal Chetia also addressed the trainees, who were unanimous to take up organic farming soon, she added.
