Dakpe asks HoDs to work without political biasness

RAGA, June 11: “I shall leave no scope for any anti-social elements to deter development activities of Kamle district. We will have to work as a team without any political biasness,” said Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe while addressing a coordination meeting of HoDs during his maiden visit here on Tuesday.

Cautioning against misuse and wastage of Govt funds, he said that all development schemes including infrastructures will be finalized on only priority and sustainability basis. Opinions of the people at the grassroots level will be sought before finalization, he said.

“With 32 out of the 117 schools having no enrolment is a matter of great concern, particularly poor performance in the board exams another big concern, which calls for total revamping of education scenario,” he said but encouraged the teachers to traverse that extra mile for the benefit of  student community.

Besides infrastructural developments, awareness is a key factor for improving health statistics of the district; he said and assured to look into posting of allopathic doctors to the district.

Kamle DC Moki Loyi exhorted all HoDs to work as a team to accelerate development process. The development schemes will be bottom up approach on priority with the Govt scrapping SADA and SIDF, he said quoting the MLA and directed all HoDs to submit list of schemes and projects by Friday for incorporating in district plan.

HoDs and officers later presented status reports of ongoing projects and schemes besides highlighting infrastructural and manpower gaps for further perusal.

Raising serious issue of encroachment, DLRSO Mama Dakpe urged district administration to make NOCs from DA compulsory for any earth cutting in Raga township.

The MLA along with HoDs and officials later inspected project sites for water treatment plant, mini secretariat and medical complex.

During his visit to GHS School and VKV, Dakpe interacted with the students. (DIPRO)
