C:D ratio financial health indicator
The C:D ratio is the indicator of financial health status of any state. The better is the C:D ratio, the better is the health, according to accounting jargon.
ITANAGAR, June 12: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein asked the State Bank of India to improve credit:deposit (C:D) ratio of Arunachal Pradesh and assured all support of the Govt.
After inaugurating SBI’s Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat branch on 1st floor here on Wednesday, making it 60th SBI branch in the state, he said the branch would serve around 1500 Govt employees serving in Civil Secretariat as it would save their precious time in bank transactions which they used to waster by going outside the secretariat
Lauding the SBI for providing the much needed banking service in every nook and corner of this hilly state for the last many decades, he urged SBI chief general manager (North Eastern region) Sunil Kumar Tandon to further expand its branches in rural and remote areas of the state and set up ATMs and customer service points wherever needed. He exhorted the bankers to provide financial assistance to educated youths to take up entrepreneurship, especially in credit-linked schemes of the Govt, like Swalambhan, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Yojana, etc. before making the first transaction.
CGM thanked the state Govt for support, including space in the hub of capital city for the branch. He requested Civil Secretariat employees to avail the services.
