Tuki directs Deptt to shift 11KV HT line for safety

SAGALEE, June 15: Sagalee MLA-cum-former chief minister Nabam Tuki while inspecting various infrastructure projects of his Sagalee assembly constituency along with HoDs on Saturday, directed power (E) EE to shift the 11KV HT line immediately as it passes through the villages and assured to bear the cost of shifting.

His direction came on being apprised of danger posed by existing 11 KV HT line by the villagers while recalling electrocution death of one person in the past.

At under construction steel girder bridge over Pare River at Nimte to connect Rigo village, he instructed PWD EE to immediately start erection of superstructure to help expedite execution of PMGSY work of RWD on right bank of the river while directed its EE to mobilize men and materials for taking up road pavement works.

He also inspected steel girder bridge over Pare River at Balapu being executed by the PWD and expressed his happiness on its completion.

At Toru where building of Govt. Engineering College  under RUSA are in progress, he urged higher & technical education department, particularly director T. Talom not to compromise with quality. After reviewing work progress, he exhorted all officers and executing agency to expedite the progress by mobilizing additional manpower and assured to move the GoAP for necessary support to ensure early completion of only engineering college building of the state.
