ITANAGAR, July 21: Thousands of non-Arunachalees irrespective of sex and age thronged art & culture directorate ground here since 8 am on Sunday morning to submit their documents during Identification Mela, conducted simultaneously at Itanagar Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre and Nirjuli’s Nyikum Niya Hall for the second time.
This maiden initiative of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) in collaboration of police department aimed at developing a data bank of non-Arunachalees working in any capacity working in Capital Complex for checking unwanted activities, mainly committed by non-Arunachalees who disappear after meeting their ulterior purposes without any trace.
In fact, the prime objective is to ensure safety and security of one and all for which the GoAP would evolve a policy soon as assured by Home Minister Bamang Felix in his inaugural address at DKCC on July 07 last. Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan will be launched to make the civil society part of law enforcing mechanism, he had announced.
