Bagra resents poor roads, asks for fast renovation

AALO, July 29: Industry, Textile and Handicraft Minister Tumke Bagra stressed on selection of viable and feasible schemes to benefit common masses while taking part in district development committee (DDC) and monitoring committee meeting here on Monday.

Expressing anguish over poor pace of highway maintenance, he asked the executing agency to make judicious use of fund to renovate the dilapidated roads of the district. He called for tapping Siru hydel project on grid/isolation mode, early completion of Aalo circuit house, Paya Bridge and other common assets of the district.

MLAs Nyamar Karbak (Liromoba) and Kento Jini (Aalo East) gave various suggestions relating to  Rs 30 crore water supply scheme for Aalo township, identification of garbage disposal site, implementation of ongoing schemes etc.

West Siang DC Swetika Sachan, in her presidential address, highlighted functions of the DDC followed by address of DPO M. Karga while SEs, EEs and HoDS gave feed backs on all 2019-2020 schemes, ongoing and completed schemes under NEC, NESIDS, RIDF & SAD. (DIPRO)
