AUS celebrates fresher’s day

NAMSAI, Sept 03: “Today is special day that will never return while other days will be based on your deeds to achieve and excel,” said Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) pro-chancellor Vishwa Lochan Agarwal, in his address to new comers during 8th Fresher’s Day celebration here on Tuesday.

Advising them to study sincerely to make every minute count by making best use of resources and means designed for them but assured all support to then in this new and unfamiliar environment. He also gave several tips to strike a balance between social and academic life, particularly electrical appliances which may distract them from studies.

Debashri and Karjum

The celebration included numerous cultural programmes including Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher competition in which Debashri Saikia and Karjum Taipodia were adjudged winners respectively, highlighted newman in providing best resources in developing various skills, like sports and games, music and drama, social networking, spiritual growth and in studies.

However, 2019 turned out to be a glorious year for AUS reminisced its success when all former students, including Fardana Nasreen, who joined NE TV recently; Firdausi Sultana Hazarika, who joined Jorhat-based Army Public School as principle were remembered by AUS fraternity including vice chancellor Prof. V.K.Kawatra.

The AUS aims at upholding humility and embracing diversity without undermining anyone while consistently works for providing best resources for skill development and empowerment of knowledge, according to an AUS release.
