Compassionate ground APP job seekers launch dharna

ITANAGAR, Oct 29: Hundreds of deprived job seekers of Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) under compassionate ground continuing their demand launched a 72-hour dharna at Tennis Court here on Tuesday.

The agitating candidates and their families are demanding immediate absorption of 183 candidates in the on-going recruitment process.

“Despite our protests and repeated pleas, the authority is yet to act to absorb all the left-out candidates. We urge police department to keep on hold schedule medical test of selected candidates till grievances of 83 left-outs are cleared,” an agitating candidate said.

“At least 183 candidates of total 525 have not been included under compassionate ground recruitment procedure of recent recruitment process and we have no idea on which ground this discrepancy crept up, a family member of one of the candidates added.

“We met the DGP on Oct 9 last who assured that the case of remaining candidates would be amicably solved soon, but till date no communication has been made as yet,” lamented another candidate.
