Dumporijo MLA Rode Bui, speaking as guest of honour, expressing concern over moral degradation, especially among the youngsters, asked the students to toe guru shish tradition. Teachers as builders of the society deserves due recognition and respect, he said with conviction.
Principal D .N.T. Rikam earlier highlighted events of four-day celebration and lauded students, faculty members and staff for making the event a overwhelming success.
Earlier, the duo and other dignitaries gave away prizes to winners of different categories in sports and games, athletics, cultural and literary activities. The best discipline house went to Hornbill while Orchid was adjudged champion house among four competing houses. Doimukh Govt College principal Dr M.Q. Khan was special invitee.
Students’ Union GS Sorang Khamin, in a memorandum, pleaded for construction of students’ multi-activity centre to which the HM assured fund in next fiscal year.
Students’ Union adviser Dr A. Imbotomi Singh also addressed the gathering, according to DNGC release.
